About
Rail in the Air is a free browser-based simulation game where you drive a small cart across narrow tracks suspended high above the clouds. There’s no story and no opponents — the track itself is the challenge. Your have to manage acceleration and braking so the cart doesn’t fly off the rails on sharp turns, steep drops, or narrow stretches. Falling triggers an instant respawn, so every run is a quick lesson in driving smarter on the next attempt.
It plays differently from a normal racing game: going too fast throws you off the track, and going too slow just wastes time. The skill is finding the right speed for each section before you reach it.

How to Play
- Pick a map from the maps menu (M).
- Accelerate gently onto the track — short taps of W/Up Arrow, not constant holding.
- Brake early before every curve, not while you’re already sliding into it.
- Watch 2-3 turns ahead so you can adjust speed before reaching them.
- If you fall, hit R to respawn at the last checkpoint and try again.
Tips to Avoid Falling
- Tap, don’t hold, the accelerator. Constant acceleration builds momentum that’s hard to control on curves.
- Brake before the apex of a turn, not during it. Late braking is the most common cause of falling.
- Slow down more than feels necessary on blind corners. You can always speed back up once the track is clear.
- Respawn quickly with R so the mistake is still fresh and you can immediately try a better approach.
