How Milestone Upgrades Work

Every one of the 15 buildings follows the exact same milestone pattern: a x2 multiplier at 10 owned, x3 at 25, x5 at 50, x10 at 100, then the pattern repeats at higher counts — x2 at 150, x3 at 200, x5 at 300, and x10 at 500. Synergy upgrades are different from milestones: instead of rewarding you for owning a lot of one building, they reward owning a minimum amount of two specific buildings at the same time. Once both thresholds are met, the upgrade unlocks and applies its multiplier.

Notice that the synergy upgrades roughly follow the same order as the buildings themselves — Pizza Cart pairs with Home Oven, Apprentice Cook pairs with Corner Cafe, and so on up the list. If you’re buying buildings in order already, most synergy requirements will naturally be met by the time you can afford the upgrade. The exceptions are Garden & Kitchen and Closed Supply Chain, which pair non-adjacent buildings (Talented Chefs with Ingredient Farm, and Ingredient Warehouse with Ingredient Farm), so those are worth watching for separately if you’re pushing Ingredient Farm ahead of schedule.
